Ever had a bad experience on MUA???

Well, I'll warn you ahead of time that this blog is somewhat of a rant.

Now, don't get me wrong, I do understand that MUA (or fully known as "Make Up Alley") is a place that just allows people to post the make up that they don't want, and request an exchange with someone that has something you do want, at your own risk. I understand. But what I can't understand is why people pretend to be nice and promise to send you products, just so that they can steal your stuff and then *POOF* vanish. <-That right there, was my very first experience on MUA. I sent this person called "Monique" a brand new MAC Honey Salve and a brand new MAC Funtabulous Dazzleglass. My two back-ups are now gone, and I am so torn about that.

I would go on there daily, and message her/him (could be a him, right? IDK) saying that I sent the package out and it should arrive soon. She/he would say the same thing. Soon after, she/he DELETED THE ACCOUNT without even saying anything to me!

The worst part is how I found out about it, which is very amusing now that it has passed... Someone thought that I was "Monique" and thus was threatening to report me, blah, blah, blah. That really got me fired up, because not only was I cheated upon, but now threatened and accused by someone else...

*Breathes in deep and Exhales*

Of course, I cried. I don't work well under that kind of pressure. Though luckily, my youtube account is what actually saved me, haha. I told that person to basically ask me on YT, if they were so persistent on believing I was someone else. =) So TY YT!!

A little later I got my first token from someone else, which I got excited about! *Dorky moment* =D Now others can actually see that I'm trustworthy, and that I don't do that kind of crap to others.

So here is my new permanent rule: I will never exchange a product to person that doesn't have any positive feedback. It just seems safer that way. I advise all you lovely people to do the same!

Now comes my question to you: Has this or something like it, ever happened to you before?

I'd like to know about it. It feels good to just rant sometimes.

My mom got me this awesome color. =)

Today my mom knew I was having a bad day, so she got me this awesome nail polish to cheer me up. The color is called 'Turned Up Turquoise' and it's a Neon color. This is my first time using China Glaze nail polish, so I'll let you guys know what I think. I've always used OPI.

I must admit that I was a little bit freaked out when the polish went matte on my fingernail. I didn't know that the Neon colors do that. Even now I don't understand why it would, but that's ok. I just put some clear polish on top, and that did the trick to make them nice and shiny! So here is the picture. It's a fabulous color, so I thought I'd share. =)

B-slap Cosmetics Swatches, thoughts.

Hey everyone! Yesterday I posted up a video where I opened up a package of B-slap cosmetics (more commonly named Bitchslap cosmetics). I was super excited! It was pretty evident, I made a fool of myself due to that. I must say, that the products are amazing. Super bright, very pigmented. For favorites, I'm in a tie between Sweet Bitch and Jealous Bitch. So gorgeous! You can see that for yourself in the pictures.

This is what the Chrome wheels look like.

Here are the colors I got.

Here you can see (Clockwise starting at the top left) Sweet Bitch, Jealous Bitch, and Evil Bitch.

Here the swatches starting at the top left: Jealous Bitch, Top right: Evil Bitch, Bottom left: Sweet Bitch

Swatched w/ q-tips. =)

Now, along with the great pigmentation, there is a bit of a downside... and that's the glitter. There is plenty of fall out when it comes to the glitter, but at least it's A LOT less than Urban Decay. If you've tried Urban Decay, you know that their shadows are very pretty, but w/ chunky glitter (which is not cool). These have glitter, but not as much as that. It's still a bit of a pain (I won't lie). My suggestion is to use a sticky base so that so that the glitter doesn't fall off... or when applying the shadows, tap off your brush so that the glitter gets off and only the color stays on the brush. I tried using Urban Decay Primer Potion, and it wasn't sticky enough to keep all the glitter. I would try a Paint Pot or something stickier... like a MAC Cream Shade stick (which is my fave for a sticky base). I have also heard good things about NYX jumbo eye pencils, but I've never tried them.
Here is my favorite wheel: Jealous Bitch

I haven't tried out this wheel, but again: Evil Bitch

Lastly, with gorgeous colors: Sweet Bitch. =)

I went out one night using Sweet Bitch, and then I wore Jealous Bitch all day long. It never creased, and there was no color blending, no fall out, no fading. The colors were vibrant all day, and that's awesome in my book. Can't wait to try out more of the products. =)

Anyway... these are some pictures for you to see them for yourself. Hope you enjoyed! =)

Contest Time. =)

Well, because you guys are so awesome, I decided to hold a contest for you! I deliberated themes for a long time, and asked for suggestions from just about everyone I know... without much success because no one came up with anything. But that's okay. =) I came up with something we can all relate to, and that's desserts. We all have a sweet tooth... right? So, that's what I decided the theme would be. Now, if you favorite dessert is not the brightest or full of color, that's fine! Work with what you got. Be creative. Surprise me! Looks will be judged by a couple of friends and myself.

Theme: "What is your favorite Dessert?"

Show me a picture of your favorite dessert!
and
Create a look based off of that sweet!
EXPLAIN how you came up with the look.

Second Naked Honey Run + LUSH = best of both worlds.

Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing well. =)

As I mentioned before in my Vlog, I definitely went back to purchase the 'She's a Star' lipglass because it is beautiful. Second, the perfume called 'Naked Honey' (which I think I might get back ups for this one too because it smells great). NOTE: I studied the bottle and though I thought that there was only the bit of perfume that's visible to the eye, the perfume goes all the way down into the black portion too, so don't be fooled! You're getting more than that tiny bit in the glass. =) Lastly, a back up Skin Salve because chances are MAC won't make it again...though I'm still hoping they'll listen to the consumers requests and make this permanent!! =D

All the products laid out.

Here is 'She's a Star'

'She's a Star' Swatch
(really pretty pale gold)

Here is the 'Naked Honey' Perfume. Isn't the box and design neat? <3

I also couldn't help myself and stopped by LUSH just because the soaps look sooo cool in person. I wanted to take pictures for the blog, but I didn't want to get in trouble, lol. The Saltana soap is beautiful! I had never seen anything like it, but the smell wasn't stupendous. The soap that stood out to me the most was 'Keep it Fluffy' because it has a funny jagged upper portion that looked really neat. It smells sweet too, but not as sweet as Honey I Washed the Kids... more like a light vanilli scent. It was more subtle and comforting; definitely a good alternative. I can't wait to use it! The girl at the counter really gave me a huge sample too. =) In addition to the interesting texture on top, it had some specs of purple glitter scattered about, but nothing too overwhelming. It will more than likely wash off in the same shower.

I also picked up 'Ma Bar' Bubble Bar. I saw what the website says, but I'm telling you that it smells like Honey I Washed the Kids. Bliss! I want to use it, but I'm going to cut it up first so that it lasts! It's really cute too... almost like a dessert... though maybe that's just me because it smells so good, lol.

Ma Bar!!

So that is it guys! I hope that the thoughts helped you out, and thank you for stopping by. ;)

Violet Waters ~ Molokini & Hawaii Inspired

Hello to all! <3 I hope you are having a beautiful day. Last night around midnight, I got the idea for 'Violet Waters' and I figured I should do it soon before the idea slipped. =) I finished recording around 1:15? But the editing did take a while because I wanted to make sure that the quality looked pretty good and that I wasn't missing steps. =D (I've done that before, lol). Here is the tutorial:

That's me! =)

Here was a fairly good shot of the purple. =)

I like these especially because the Circus Girl Looks amazing and it's just a tiny bit in the inner corner. ;)

Here is a picture of the lid. I couldn't get a shot of that really cool blue =/ But this one is close. The color scheme is pretty.

Anyway, I hope that you guys like it. =) It's a very fun combination that's great for summer, so do try it out!

Products used on eyes:
-Urban Decay Primer Potion
-MAC 'Beige-ing Shadestick
-MAC 'Crème de Miel' Shadow
-BFTE 'Raspberry' Shadow
-BFTW 'Green Apple' Shadow
-Lime Crime 'Empress' Shadow
-Lime Crime 'Circus Girl' Shadow
-Kryolan 'Robins Egg' Shadow

Here is a picture I took for the intro. Do you guys like it? =) I might start doing that for all videos.

Cheeks/Bronzer:
-MAC 'Golden Nectar' Powder (remember I mentioned that this would look good on me that! I'm very pleased.)

Lips:
MAC 'Queen Bee' Lipglass

As you can see, I definitely took advantage of some of the Naked Honey goodies! =) Though I will be doing a more toned look with the Naked Honey Theme soon.

Thank you so much for viewing this blog! If you ever have any suggestions, please let me know.

MAC Naked Honey Review

Well... simply put: I loved this collection. I woke up early this morning with the intention of driving to a new mall (recommended by my friend), and picking up the Naked Honey treats. Such bliss!

**Remember to click on the picture for a better image!!**

Once I saw the item display, I wanted everything because it was fabulous and had such a cute design! It is such a playful collection.

The first display that I studied was the make-up stand that had the three lipglosses, three eyeshadows, 2 highlight powders, and the two perfumes. I thought it was pretty neat that the lipglosses and the eyeshadows had mirrored colors of each other. For example, the lightest lipglass "She's a Star" and eyeshadow "Crème de Miel," are a mirror of each other in shade. They are both a beautiful pale golden color. =)

The next lipglass is called "Queen Bee" and it is a gorgeous peachy-apricot color with shimmery flecks. It was more orange-y than I expected it to be, but it's still beautiful. I wore it throughout the vlog. ;)

Here is the gloss. Very peachy. =)

Here is a good shot of the gloss. ^^^

The last lipglass is called "Buzz." It's a stunning reddish-brown, with a bit of shimmer to it. It's super pigmented, and I recommend everyone to try it on before purchase (just to be safe). When I swatched it on my hand, I was convinced that I should get it. Though as soon as I tried it on my lips, it was pretty dark (which I don't mind dark lips), but the color didn't look good with my skintone. =/ I was bummed.

Once again, the lipglosses are:

-She's a Star
-Queen Bee
-Buzz

Next come the eyeshadows, which are pretty neutral. The first, as I mentioned before, would be
"Crème de Miel." It is a beautiful soft golden color, and it's pretty pigmented for being a soft shade (I think that's amazing). In my opinion, this is the eyeshadow to get of the three. For those of you who don't know, the word "Miel" means Honey. I direct translation would be: Cream Honey, if said properly: Honey Cream. Cool right? So this one (to me) is the shadow that stands out most because the collection is all about Honey, see?

Here is a shot of the shadow, but it looks a bit washed out with the flash straight on . So...

I took this shot and you can see more of the actual color there. =) I played around with iPhoto too... it looks all fancy... I'm so silly, lol.

Here is a shot of the shadow w/o flash. The one with flash is above.

Moving on, the next shadow is called "Pollinator." It is a really pretty peach color, just like "Queen Bee." They only downside, is that it is somewhat sheer. But, still workable and buildable, so that isn't to much of a con. I passed up on thi
s because I already have many shades that are similar if not the same, so it was no biggie.

The last shade is called "Buckwheat." It is a typical brown with some shimmer, but not anything crazy. It wasn't too exciting because I have sooo many brown shadows, but if you don' have many, that's a good one to get. =)

Eyeshadows:
-
Crème de Miel
-Pollinator
-Buckwheat

Now comes that highlight powders. = <3<3<3

Oh the excitement I felt was in most part for this! I loved these! Such a cute design, such pretty colors. =D I swatched this before anything else, just to be sure if I could get both or not. I thought it was really cool that they were shimmery on the surface, and more velvety underneath. They explained that it was just an overspray to give it that shiny appearance. I think that is great for marketing. =)

I really wanted to get both highlight powders, but "Honey Light" was was just too yellow on me. =( It was really pretty as a swatch, but on my skin as a highlight, it made me look sickly. It was very sad. I think a person that has a darker skin tone will look fabulous with this though!!
The other highlight powder is called "Golden Nectar" and I really like it for a bronzer/blush. It's beautiful on me like that, so I definitely puchased it because it serves as a soft bronzer, and I have been looking for something like it for the longest. Yay!

This is how it looked in the packaging, nothing too fancy.

Here is the bottom with it's name. It's a shiny casing.

Here is how it looks inside. As you can see here, there is a shimmer all on the surface except on the left, where I rubbed to collect the swatch.

This was the best picture of them all. The swatch of the "Golden Nectar" is there on the left. =)

Highlight Powders:
-Honey Light
-Golden Nectar

The next items would be the three body products which are: a shower gel, a hand and body cream, and my favorite of it all, the Skin Salve. =) I really loved the packaging for the shower gel and cream, but they are limited edition items, so once your out, you can't go and get more. =/ That turned me off, plus there wasn't anything extraordinary about it because it's just a typical shower get with a honey scent. I also kept in mind that LUSH 'Honey I washed the kids' will always be there, and it smells better. The one thing that I was itching to get and I'm going to have to buy back-ups (because it's amazing) is the Naked Honey Skin Salve. You can use it anywhere that needs moisture, but my main use will probably be lips because it's hydrating, smells amazing (just like honey), and tastes good for once (a mild honey taste). It's divine. I normally use LUSH's "Honey Trap" lip balm, but it brings way less product and seems more like an "on the go" item, so I'm just going to stick that in my purse and continue using the Salve. I want to buy more before they're gone, but I think that they are going to fly off the shelves, and my hope is that MAC will get a *hint* and make this permanent. *HOPES*

Here it is in the box.

This is the decorative lid. Isn't it cute!? The Shower Gel and Cream Have the same design.

Here is what it looks like inside. Looks like honey is going to drip, but it's not It's pretty thick. =)

The last two items would be the perfumes! I adored the first scent called "Naked Honey." It's so flirty and bright yet carries a nice honey scent. When I think of honey, I normally think of a warm homey scent, but this is the opposite. It's a brilliant and fresh honey scent that will light up a room. =) I am definitely going to purchase that later on.

The second scent is called "Africanimal," and it's a more spicy scent. It's not too overwhelming, plus it's definitely warmer than the first. It's a nice scent, but I preferred Naked Honey. =)

I hope this helps any of you that were curious. Have a wonderful day!
xoxo

Chocolate w/ Sprinkles on top!

Alright well I'm absolutely fascinated with this design. It's super easy, ADORABLE, and very VERY eye catching. While wearing the previous combination, I must've gotten asked about my nails 20+ times... and that's not surprising at all because it looks super cute!! =D

This time around, I wanted a mixture more on the violet/pink side with some brown to look like chocolate. I added the blue because it added a little life and contrast to the nails, as did the white. The white actually reminds me of frosting. =)

Also, very important! Wait just a few minutes before the top coat is applied so that there is not any streaking of color.

Here are the polishes I used:
Nicole by OPI 'Fanatical Fuscia'
OPI 'ElePhantastic'
Nicole by OPI 'Blue Lace'
OPI 'Suzi Says Da!'
OPI 'Japanese Rose Garden'
Essie White Polish
Sally Hanse 'No Chip' Top Coat

Hope that you try this out!
