Sometimes simplicity is best. =)

Today was one of those days where I totally don't know what make up to wear. I wanted to create something dramatic, but I didn't know what direction to go in, so I just ended up making on big mess. It was a disaster.

I ended up doing something funny on my eye, and it wasn't bad, but I wasn't feeling too great about it. The only reason why I even left it on was because I had to get my hair done and I would've been late if I played around any longer.

Since I had a bunch of tin foil on my head and wasn't going anywhere for a while, I had plenty time to think over what to wear. But in the end, all I wanted to do was be really simple and try a look I used to do in high school all the time. =)
Back then I only had two... maybe three MAC shadows total. The two I can name out are Pink Freeze and Electra. I would grab either shadow, and apply it thickly on the lid and fade it up to the brow. It looked like I was wearing more than one shadow, but I was really only wearing one. Neat huh?

So that's what I did today, but with a few tricks added to make it more defined and pretty.

Steps:
1- Apply Urban Decay Primer Potion all over lid
2- Grab any brush that's wide and flat, and apply Electra all over the lid, fading it up to the brow
3- Use the same brush and apply Blanc Type lightly on the brow bone to add some slight definition
4- Take any type of black liner. I used Bobbi Brown 'Black Ink' Gel liner with a Script brush, and created a slight cat eye to make it a bit dramatic.
5- Line my water line with UD 'Zero' 24/7 liner

6- Mascara of choice.

7- MAC 'Summer Rose' Blush with any dense blush brush, and it adds a nice flush of color to the cheeks. =)

8 - MAC 'Extra Amps' Dazzleglass to make it look really pretty and add pop of color the look.

Easy right? Took about five minutes. =) The best part is that it still looks really pretty on everyone: eye color, skin color, everything. Looks cleaned up, yet still dazzling and eye catching. =) Good luck trying it out!

The cat eye made with the Gel Liner has a great contrast with the Electra shadow. It goes great together. =)
